Rupert Wines' Protea range is named after the Protea genus of fynbos plants which in turn is named after the shape-shifting Greek god Proteus - as the genus exhibits so much diversity. The Protea range consists of five wines. A Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The wines are made in a lighter fruit-driven style, which makes them more accessible to drink at a younger age.
