Combine the flour, sugar and salt, and sprinkle the instant yeast on top.
Add just enough lukewarm water to form a stiff dough.
Knead the dough until it is elastic and no longer sticks to your hands.
Put the dough in a bowl and brush with the melted butter so it doesn’t dry out.
Cover with cling film and leave to rise in a warm spot to double in size.
Knead down and shape into small balls.
Flatten the balls slightly and sprinkle with flour.
Cook over a slow fire until done.
Serve with butter and your favourite jam.
Another interesting variation is to add finely chopped garlic in order to make your own fire roasted garlic bread.
