Franschhoek, South Africa – Master of Wine Tim Atkin recognised Anthonij Rupert Wyne for its excellence in his 2023 South Africa Special Report. Nine wines from Anthonij Rupert Wyne’s Cape of Good Hope range received an excellent score of 90+ points. This acknowledges the exceptional craftsmanship that goes into every bottle of these terroir-specific wines.

The L’Ormarins Cap Classique range also performed equally well, with all three sparkling wines tasted receiving 90+ points, including the collection’s most recent addition, the L’Ormarins Private Cuvee 2015.

Tim Atkin MW awarded 90-point ratings or higher to 17 wines from the Anthonij Rupert portfolio, confirming the winery’s commitment to producing exceptional wines of quality and consistency.

Tim Atkin sampled a total of 2,205 wines from 419 wineries during his 11th annual overview, and he was highly impressed by the quality of the wines he tasted this year, particularly the vintages ranging from 2017 to 2021, with special mention of the 2017 vintage, which he believes deserves to be placed among the best ever harvests.
