Anthonij Rupert Wyne is situated against the majestic back drop of the Groot Drakenstein Mountains, and forms part of the famed Franschhoek wine valley in South Africa.

Although the Estate is famous for its prized vineyards, little is known about the over 300 ha which is managed as pristine nature reserve.

This unique site is made up of a collection of microclimates which accommodate various diverse plant communities, such as sandstone cliffs, riparian forests, as well as mountain and lowland fynbos.

The Estate’s Water systems, which include a beautiful seasonal waterfall, pristine streams and flood plains; are managed with meticulous care and ultimate stewardship.

It is here that a very unique thriving habitat has been resurrected for not only red listed species such as the Cape violet (Charadrophila capensis) but also for amazing indigenous mammals such as Cape leopard, Cape fox, Lynx, honey badger and porcupine who roam the Cape’s mountain ranges.

Estate operational processes include best practices such staff awareness training, recycling managed with vigilance and care, biological farming practices and future plans to further enhance the current generation of 20% green energy via hydro and solar systems to full capacity.
